player in the fine papers and packaging board segment. It operates 2 integrated
pulp & paper mills in India. JK Paper Mills in Rayagada Orissa and CPM in Fort
The company is the market leader in Copier segment. It also produces international quality of quality of virgin boards like FBB, SBS and Cupstock. Nearly 95% of Company product mix comprises high value products marketed under various popular brand names such as JK Copier, JK Bond, Cedar, JK Excel Bond, and JK Tuff Cote, JK Ultima and Purefil. JK Paper is the first company in India having the license to manufacture Colorlock paper and is entitled to use HP Colorlok logo.
It is an ISO 9001, ISO 4001 and OHSAS 18001 certified unit and has received TPM Excellence Award - 1st Category in the year 2006 TPM Consistent Commitment Award in 2009. In the year 2009. In the year 2011- 12, the unit received commendation for strong commitment to HR Excellence from CII, Chairman's Best People Management Award of JK Organization and Greentech CSR Gold Award.
Its products are sold through extensive distribution network of 188 wholesalers, 10 depots & 4 regional marketing offices, and covering nearly 4,000 dealers. It offers a wide product range and its brands are synonymous with premium quality paper.
The CPM (Central Pulp Mills) was originally incorporated in 1960's by the Parkhe Group and had installed capacity of 40,000 TPA. Later, the company was forced to shut down due to various reasons. It was then taken over by JK Paper Ltd. in 1992. The unit was rehabilitated in 1993-94 and was turned around into a profitable venture. Though the flagship company is JK Paper, the popular name of CPM stuck on. The plant has now grown to a capacity of generating 55,000 TPA of writing and printing papers and added 90,000 TPA of Packaging Board at present. The mill utilizes bamboo and hardwood as the raw materials and is a leading exporter of Branded Copier Papers from India with exports to 35 countries.
